Vehicles from Jahangir Gate will not be allowed to make a right turn at Bijoy Sarani
Starting today, vehicles coming from Jahangir Gate will no longer be allowed to make a right turn at the Bijoy Sarani intersection. Instead, they must take a right turn before the Chief Adviser's Office gate, use the Agargaon Link Road, and continue to their destinations via the BICC or Agargaon crossing. This new traffic regulation, aimed at easing congestion at the Bijoy Sarani intersection, has been introduced by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Vehicles traveling to Mohammadpur, Dhanmondi, Khejurbagan, and Manik Mia Avenue must follow the Agargaon Link Road route. The DMP Commissioner, Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali, issued this directive through a public notice. Similar traffic measures have already been implemented in areas like Manik Mia Avenue and Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Avenue in Tejgaon Industrial Area, which have led to reduced congestion and improved traffic flow. The DMP has emphasized the importance of these changes for smoother traffic and urged full cooperation from the public.
